Brown bin collections back from July, every four weeks

Garden waste collections are back from Wednesday July 1, 2020 in Aberlady and will take place every four weeks.

GARDEN WASTE COLLECTIONS in brown wheelie bins are back from Wednesday July 1, 2020 in Aberlady, but for the time being they will only take place once every four weeks.

Food caddies can be put out every week, while the green household waste bin and your recycling boxes are collected as normal once a fortnight.

If you visit the East Lothian Council website, you can download a calendar to remind you of when collections take place.

Recycling centres

All four of East Lothian’s recycling centres have reopened. They are now operating for their usual summer hours, 8.30am to 6.15pm, and are accepting a full range of materials. Note that social distancing is in place and you must bring photographic ID to prove that you live within the county.

Recycling calendar: dates highlighted in yellow are garden waste, green refers to household waste in green wheelie bins and recycling boxes, grey is food waste.
